Hi, Claude...
The problem is and I'll try to be as clear as possible, that Tor was
never intended to be used as a P2P channel, since it uses lot of the
energy from everyone, and so damages the Tor Network for all the others.
When You find mentions of using Tor in some P2P clients (µTorrent,
Azureus, mlDonkey), they only mean for searching data as a browser (for
instance, searching for torrents, or eD2k files)... and this, is indeed
working as a for a normal browser. But transfering a file or files is
another story altogether, and it asks for a much bigger and powerful
flow... and so if few people would do so, very soon would be Tor
unaccessible by most of the rest... so, when someone asks you not to use
Tor for P2P, he simply means please, don't bugger Tor for us to be able
to continue to use it... ;-)

Appart of this, your problem with P2P is indeed an acute and serious
problem, especially in certain contries in Europ where laws are trying
to crawl after the run of tech... so, the only way is to run too and not
to crawl ! Today, the old systems of P2P are (still, and inspite some
updates) in an unusable state (for savety), I mean all the eD2k,
mlDonkey, Azureus, Bittorrent, and the like (that I loved dearly few
years ago)... but you have lukily some P2P third generation trying to
merge : Ants, i2p [which can also be included in Azureus], Stealthnet,
Freenet, and few others... that are certainly perfectly hidden and
anonymous, and so, perfectly safe, but sometimes (at the moment) a bit
poor as choices for files and folders.... but you should try Pando,
since this is totally anonymous (end to end encrypted), fast, and as
rich in folders and files as ed2k or Torrents... and also free.... and,
visiting any of the Pando forums for movies or music (Like visiting
Demonoid) can be done using Tor... only the DL is done separately. But I
won't say more here about all this, since it's not really the place for
it, so good luck and please, stop using Tor for P2P...
