Hmm. If you restart the machine, and use Finder to go to /Applications/
and start Vidalia, does it work?

It sounds like everything is installed correctly.  In Firefox, you may
need to go to the Tools menu and then choose "Add ons".  If torbutton is
not there, that may be your problem.
